Planning wedding is tough , having to handle and make so many decision and planning. But i am enjoying the process. Its definitely fun.

Thanks to Lindy and Jol for accompanying me to view the gowns.

I am still clueless wat design/ fabric material i want.

I will need more help later on in the preparation ..Thanks to all bridesmaids in advance .

The Three Sisters are 922, 918 & 906 metres tall

The Aboriginal dream-time legend has it that three sisters, 'Meehni', 'Wimlah' and Gunnedoo' lived in the Jamison Valley as members of the Katoomba tribe.
These beautiful young ladies had fallen in love with three brothers from the Nepean tribe, yet tribal law forbade them to marry.
The brothers were not happy to accept this law and so decided to use force to capture the three sisters causing a major tribal battle.
As the lives of the three sisters were seriously in danger, a witchdoctor from the Katoomba tribe took it upon himself to turn the three sisters into stone to protect them from any harm. While he had intended to reverse the spell when the battle was over, the witchdoctor himself was killed. As only he could reverse the spell to return the ladies to their former beauty, the sisters remain in their magnificent rock formation as a reminder of this battle for generations to come.

12hrs by train !!!

total different experience ...

Grad trip :)

detailed and carefully packed trip !!

rent a car a day before flying off to sydney on the 11th june

--> went Esscendon DFO shopping

then the following day(12th june)

drove to Avalon Airport with the gals in wee early morning at 3.30am

First time driving in aussie ...

Fun but a little scared esp on the highway ;)

with all the big trailers and trucks ***

flight journey only takes 1hr plus ..

Visited

Blue mountain & Jenolan valley, Olympic park, Sydney Opera house, Bondi & Bonte beach , The Rocks & Circular Quay, Darling harbour, KTV singing at night, Star City Casino **

ate many good food

Sydney Fish market (yummy salmon , tuna , king fish, lobster sashimi )

super fresh and cheap !!my fav

Lindt cafe ( chocolates and choc drinks,and cakes )

Sydney is a very nice city except the transport systems is not as friendly as Melbourne.

alot of goody food around.

people all seems to b veri nice ..no discrimination

but they walk faster than melb ppl ...

always in a rush !!

seems to have alot of shopping areas and great cafe ...

BUT

not enuff time to shop ...

Chinatown in Sydney is so much bigger than the one in Melb ....

more variety of food , shops and attractions ...

yawns :)

din have much quality sleep last night in the train ....

~Debated with my housemate regarding the most ideal proposal venue ~

In my opinion, the most romantic proposal is done during a holiday trip together....

be creative also :P

many people around kills the romance ...

it will be simple but really sweet and romantic!

once in a lifetime proposal, of course it'd be damn sweet if lotsa efforts are put into planning it :)

~eg a skiing trip or somewhere out of singapore... :P

NOT by the Merlion or East coast beach :(

But he disagrees with me ...

saying it takes alot of courage and a guy need to muster all his money to wait for a year

before he can fulfil the proposal....

not practical in general :(

BUT i totally disagree la...

cos nowadays most couples take overseas trip together..

its not difficult to take an extra effort to plan a special proposal which

will leave a wonderful memory for the couple.

Roasty Vegetables with Olive Oil & Mixed Herbs

Ingredients :

sweet potatoes

zucchini

potatoes

onions

pumpkins

~mixed together with olive oil and herbs ~
baked for 1.5hrs
~ yummy~
i liked it ...will put in egg plant next time
whole family loves it too
~ not as difficult as it seems ~

sudden crave for

~ Mua chee ~

~ fried peanuts~
1 cup glutinous rice flour

2 tsp sugar

2 tbsp milk

1 tbsp cooking oil

150 ml water

2 tbsp oil

Coating:

1/2 cup of chopped toasted peanuts

1/4 cup of fine granulated sugar

1 tsp toasted sesame seeds

Mix glutinous rice flour, sugar, milk, oil and water in a microwavable bowl and microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir well and cook on high for another minute. Stir well, it should be cooked but if you are having a lower wattage microwave you might have to cook another minute more.

Let the dough cool.Add the peanut, sesame seeds and sugar mixture to the dough and using an oiled scissor, snip into smaller pieces and coat well with peanuts. (if not serving the whole portion, remove a small piece enough to eat, and put into the coating, then snip from there. Remove the coated dough for serving and leave the coating for the rest of the dough).

Received a bad new on the 14th April ... sobsob :(

my granny passed away...(my dad mum)

received the news when celebrating huiling birthdae ...

i wasn't prepared for it ...

cos i wasn't even aware that she is admitted into hospital ...

very shocking and sad... :(

sighs....really no mood after tat ...

although she is realli old already (88yr old) but she is still well during new yr ...

can walk a bit with handheld assistance。。。

ate my almond jelly happily even though i din put in much sugar for her (diabetic)...

sad and a sense of lost...

Been not been blogging for so long...

made a secret short trip back to Singapore in mid April (granny passed away)

then rushed back melb..

the timing to submit the final yr project seems rushed as compared to local students...

slightly unfair la...

i dun mind graduating and presenting the final yr project the same timing as them in OCT ....now we(Singaporeans students) have to present ours in JUNE...

i reckon we have to spend sleepless nights approaching the end of the semester...

kinda getting a bit bored over in melb although with all the fun filled activities lined up..

has packed my stuff and will stay over Jen place from tonight...

will go shopping in city tomorrow and get all my last min shopping done eg chocolates and more to fill up my luggage so i bring exactly 30kg (checked in luggage) & 7 kg (hand luggage) home ...haha...

have upgraded my flight (tiger airways)...so might as well buy more...hee...

prob also go DFO and see if i can get any good buys to give my friends and family....hugs... :):)

then jen will drive me to airport on sat ..thanksdear...

& the first attempt to take budget airline for a long dist flight...i will make it...i have prepared a small pillow to support my back on board...hee...i will survive...haha...

1 week passed so fast and justina is already home (singapore) for 5 days and me going back in another 3 days...

Justina is here to visit me in melb ...my best of friend since my sec sch ...**BLESSED**

we have been in same class for the whole of sec sch and same JC although not same class...basically i have known her since sec 1 ...shared many laughters, secrets, HTHT & gossips and a little arguments long time ago ...haha...long... :>

Actually i am very touched and happy she is here to visit me ...haha... cant stop smiling from the bottom of my heart

sorry "teddy"...stole your gf for 1 week...haha....

dun worry la...will take great care of her .. dun miss her too much...will try my very best to press for time so she can see ya over skype...

its gonna b a exciting and packed week ahead... :)

sorry for not updating the blog for few days ....busy watching dvd...haha...the CD Rom has finally arrived from gold coast..~~~~

~~~~OUR First Surfing Adventure~~~~

Rainy day...its actually drizzling ...wind is super strong and cold...

after many attempts
mel is more talented in surfing than me

tired but overall fun...although cold

finally

after 2 hours, i am totally aching from my head to toes...i still prefer snorkeling than surfing...surfing needs alot of balance and practice...prob i need to go for a few more attempts before i master it well...i still cant really stand up well on the surf board...kept slipping off...the instructor say i kept commit sucide ....haha....
but mel loves this more ...haha... :) :)

day after return from goldcoast

fat & creamy and juicy..with a dash of lemon
he gulped down the 6 oysters in 10 mins ...lol... satisfied & no regrets

after that went home to whip a delicious meal

we cooked this meal together ... ~~

asparagus with bacon, stir fried veg with scallops, sweet and sour pork and baked lobster...

totally enjoyed the meal with mel and the household ppl ...~~ feel blessed again....

sat some of the trilling rides also but i still prefer movie world. dream world is too kiddy for me ..haha...but no regrets la..
went surfing the last day at 1pm

risk cos flight is at 6pm

although its only 2 hrs course

(awaiting them to send us the cd rom)

but i still prefer snorkelling..surfing is too tough cos have to combat the wave and balance on the slippery surf board

but still fun.. :)

met up with vonny friend Catherine to visit Mt Martha. initially tot it was a mountain ...haha...but its a small village by the beach ...nice place to retire ..oh yah ...there is a nice eatery that serves very goody pies...yummy...

it is reported that there is 2500 penguins tat returned to shore tat night...although its summer, its still super cold ...we almost froze while waiting for them to come back to shore...very strong wind...but thewait is worth it..

i know its dark..cant use flash cos their vision is super sensitive to light...prob can blind or scare them lol...

veri long time never insert new entry cos i am spending time with my dear in melb (city/great ocean road/Philip island) , carins, goldcoast....its was extremely fun with all the sight seeing, snorkel, surfing, visit to dream world /movieworld and more....

just returned from the airport ...din manage to wait till he walks into the departure gate cos there is simply too many ppl waiting to check in..sad feeling

(Vincent in a rush to go for a party- thanks Vincent for the lifts to airport in the past 1 month...)

was already home when he finally checked in his baggage...luckily not overweight...exactly 30.9kg..wat a risk ...haha....tiger airlines is damn strict la..

3 weeks has gone with him around. ..after he left, my room suddenly seems empty and quiet ...similar atmosphere when my mum and sis returned home after visiting me ...plus lousia has gone home to visit her family in china ...~sad~home alone now also..

a sense of lost and the longing to go back singapore although life here has been great so far ...except for some hiccups along the way...but it has made me appreciate life and the goodness that happened for me....i guess mature in a certain sense and learn to be more independent

~~finally found time to blog...time has also been busy since mummy and ying left and my dear is finally coming soon..tomorrow and its Christmas day..will be going straight to dandenongs straight for miss maples scones and scenery viewing after we picked him from airport with yvonne and jen..thanks dearies....~~
